Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath are known as Chhoti Char Dham. It is located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Yamunotri Temple is a major religious place of Hindus. It is known as the first place of Char Dham Yatra. Every year millions of devotees come here to visit. It is located at a distance of 6 KM from Janaki Chatti. Here is the famous Surya Kund in which pilgrims leave rice and potatoes for some time and they are cooked after some time which the pilgrims take home as holy offerings. There is a divine rock near Surya Kunda. Pilgrims worship this divine rock before worshiping Yamunaji. The Yamunotri temple opens on Akshaya Tritiya (May) and closes after a few days (November) of Yama Dwitiya or Bhai Dooj or Diwali.
Gangotri is a major religious place for Hindus. According to Hindu religious texts, Gangotri is known as the path to attain salvation. Every year lakhs of devotees come from all over the world to visit Gangotri Dham and take the holy water to their home. The temple opens in summer from 6:15 AM to 2 PM and in the afternoon from 3 PM to 9:30 PM. In winters, the temple opens from 6:45 AM to 2 PM and in the afternoon from 3 PM to 7 PM. . The temple opens on Akshaya Tritiya (May) and closes on the day of Yama Dwitiya.
Kedarnath temple is located in the state of Uttarakhand. It is the most famous temple of Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath temple is included in the Char Dham and Panch Kedar as well as the twelve Jyotirlingas. This temple holds great importance for Hindus. Every year people from all over the world come here to see Lord Shiva. Every year according to the date of Shivaratri, the time of opening the doors of the temple is fixed by the priest. The temple closes on the day of Yama Dwitiya or Bhai Dooj.
The Badrinath temple is located in the state of Uttarakhand. This is a very famous temple of Lord Vishnu all over the world. It is included in Char Dham of India and Chhoti Char Dham in Uttarakhand. Every year lakhs of devotees come here to see this world famous temple of Bhagavan Vishnu and Bhagavan is visiting Vishnu. There is a hot tank near the Badrinath temple where there is hot water. Devotees bathe here before entering the temple, and then forward to the temple to see God.
